HELL YEAH!”
The Sound Of Brooklyn (TSOB) Records is an independent record label with worldwide distribution through CD Baby. It was founded by Joseph (Jo-EL) Jeffries-EL in 2003, as a medium that has the goal of transforming the urban youth and culture. TSOB Records Label and The Sound of Brooklyn Studio, a state of the art recording studio headquarters, is located in Brooklyn, New York — home to some of the world’s greatest musicians.
Jo-EL is a Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammys) and a graduate recording engineer of the prestigious Institute of Audio Research (IAR) in New York City. Upon graduating from IAR he founded TSOB Records. He asserts, “Young people are entrenched in the world of music and media. They’re on iTunes, YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook, Twitter, iPhones, etc.” Jo-EL is determined to change the urban youth culture by producing quality music with a global reach for today and tomorrow.
